Welcome to my blog!
My name is Krisztina Sármezei.
I have been involved in the world of sewing for nearly 40 years. At first, it was just a hobby, but for the past 20 years, it has also been my profession. During this time, I have worked on designing and sewing garments, costumes, home textiles, gift wraps, and various fabric creations. Sewing has always been more than just a job for me — it’s a true passion where creativity meets the joy of making.
I graduated as a clothing industry design technician, and later continued my studies in technical management.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to gain experience both in Hungary and abroad — I spent more than five years living and sewing in London, which contributed a lot to me both professionally and personally.
My first sewing-related website and blog have been running for almost ten years now.
I created them to share my experience with everyone interested in dressmaking and sewing.
The aim of the blog is to help beginner sewists get started, encourage those who feel uncertain, and inspire enthusiastic hobby sewers as well.
Here you’ll find:
If you’re just getting to know sewing, this is a place to get inspired.
If you already sew as a hobby, you’ll find new ideas and sources of inspiration.
And if you’re more experienced, you might still discover fresh perspectives in the posts.
This page is not a textbook, but rather a personal sewing journal — full of experiences, stories, creative ideas, and practical tips you can try yourself.
